Agricultural Centre, who specialise in Agricultural
Machinery and parts across Devon, Cornwall and the
Southwest, went into business on November 1st 1994.
David Stanbury and myself, John Jeffery, having both
worked for other Agricultural machinery companies
for over 20 years, decided to launch a business of
our own. Working from temporary premises for the first
year, we then moved into our current premises on the
outskirts of Hatherleigh, mid Devon.
The company was founded on offering a wide range of
value-for-money agricultural machinery with a first
class back-up service. Due to the long experience
of our staff, we were able to service and repair virtually
any make of tractor or machine.
The company soon expanded and we are now main agents for Valtra tractors, the full range of Vicon equipment, Harry West spreaders, trailers and feeders, Major grassland machines, tankers and rotaspreaders, Foster toppers, bale handling equipment and yardscrapes, Twyman hedgecutters and post drivers, Landmec two drum mowers, Hackett chain harrows and Evans & Reid buckets, forks and grabs. |

In 2001, we purchased a small garden machinery business, which has now grown to considerable proportions and offers a very large range of ride-ons, pedestrian, mulching and rough-cut mowers, strimmers, hedgecutters, chainsaws and much, much more.
All makes of garden equipment can be repaired or serviced. Recently, Bombardier, a Canadian made range of tough quad bikes has been added, along with the facilities to service and repair all makes of quads. A full range of spare parts are also in stock from such suppliers as Vapormatic, Sparex and Central spares. David and John both believe in a “hands on” approach which, along with sensible prices, probably accounts for much of the company’s success.
